The Holy Grail Hardy Hibiscus I purchased from New Garden Plants.com arrived healthy, beautiful, and with a healthy well-developed root system.  It is doing fantastic in morning sun and afternoon shade here in dry and windy South-Central Kansas.  The leaves are a dark greenish purple color, and the flowers are a deep red color and very large.  They last a few days before wilting away and new ones take their place.  It overwintered well.  Here in SC Kansas, it grows like a woody perennial.  It dies to the ground with the first hard frost but then remerges in late Spring.  It grows so fast that by mid-July it's at its full height and spread and blooming profusely.  Thank you New Garden Plants.com for selling high-quality plants at an affordable price.
